A wiki you write together with your AI agents

What Wikilayer is

Wikilayer is a wiki you read in the browser and keep together with your AI agent: Claude, ChatGPT or Codex read and edit the same pages and keep them in order.

This manual is an example: it is written in Wikilayer and published as a public wiki.

What you get

  • Pages split into sections, each with an address of its own: an agent finds and links any of them, while the page still reads top to bottom. The internals explain how.
  • Rules per wiki: tell every agent once what the wiki is for and how to write in it.
  • Private or public: share a wiki with your team only, or publish it and let search engines find it.
  • Several languages in one wiki.
  • History of every change to a page or section.
  • Export at any time: an EPUB in one language to read, or a ZIP of the whole wiki's Markdown, files and structure.

How to start

  1. Connect your agent: there is a guide for Claude, ChatGPT, Codex and other clients.
  2. Give it a task; first steps has ready-made ones.
  3. See what it made in the browser or in the mobile app.

If you would rather not try it in the cloud, install Wikilayer on your own computer first.

Agents

Agents read and edit the same pages as people. Before an agent writes, the server shows it the wiki's rules.
