London connections
At Stratford you can change to the Elizabeth, Jubilee, Central and DLR networks; at Liverpool Street to the Elizabeth, Central, Circle, Metropolitan and Hammersmith & City lines. Oyster/contactless does not cover the full journey to Southend Airport; the London fare zone ends at Shenfield.
Road and local transport
Local buses, taxis and road access serve Essex and the surrounding area. Because Southend's rail station is so close to the terminal, rail is usually the simplest option for London when the timetable fits.
