# Wikilayer skills

With skills, a connected agent can repeat the same review, lint and translation work on any wiki. Install them after the [MCP connection](page:4400) works.

<!-- block:8219 -->
## What they do

- **[review](https://github.com/wikilayer/skills/blob/main/skills/review/SKILL.md)** checks that what the wiki says holds together and that each node holds [what it should](page:54721), and reports findings.
- **[lint](https://github.com/wikilayer/skills/blob/main/skills/lint/SKILL.md)** checks [wording and marks](page:54729) and reports findings.
- **[translations](https://github.com/wikilayer/skills/blob/main/skills/translations/SKILL.md)** fills in missing translations, and unlike the other two it writes to the wiki.

Review and lint are the [second reader](block:54803) of an edit, and they also apply the [checklist](block:59952) the audited wiki keeps for them in its rules.

## Install in Claude Code

From a terminal, install the plugin for Claude Code:

```sh
claude plugin marketplace add wikilayer/skills
claude plugin install wikilayer@wikilayer
```

Or use the same subcommands inside a Claude Code session:

```text
/plugin marketplace add wikilayer/skills
/plugin install wikilayer@wikilayer
```

The slash commands `/wikilayer:lint`, `/wikilayer:review`, and `/wikilayer:translations` then become available.

## Update in Claude Code

Two steps, because an update first pulls the latest from GitHub into the marketplace clone and then reinstalls into a cache every session shares.

From a terminal:

```
claude plugin marketplace update wikilayer
claude plugin update wikilayer@wikilayer
```

The full `wikilayer@wikilayer` id is required on the second command; the bare `wikilayer` reports "Plugin not found". The same two run in a session under `/plugin`.

Once the cache is updated, every new session loads the fresh version. An already-open session still holds the old one: `/reload-plugins` swaps it in without a restart, but only after the update above, since it just re-reads the cache.
