# Connect your agent

For ChatGPT, start with the published [Wikilayer plugin](page:43476). Other clients connect through MCP using the guides below. For Wikilayer on your own computer, [connect a local agent](page:59569): it uses a different address and needs no browser sign-in. A [self-hosted server for several people](page:59592) uses its own MCP address and browser authorization.

## The connector URL
